ice maker water line plugged

The small plastic inlet line to the control for the ice maker on the outside of the fridge is plugged. No water coming when I disconnect it from the control. Any ideas how to unplug it?

  • Thanks wildmanbaker. That worked. The dealer had replaced a faucet and didn't turn the valve back on.
  • If you are talking about the 1/4 inch line from the Water Valve solenoid TO the icemaker tray/mold, odds are it is melted shut and NOT clogged. If this is the line you are talking about, then I have NEVER seen this line clogged in 38 years. Doug
  • Are you talking about the feed line to the control valves for the ref, or the lines from the valve(s) to the dispenser/ice maker? If it is the feed line, there could be a shut-off valve in the line, probably under the sink where it feed from. If it is actually plugged and you can get to the other end of it, try running a small wire through it, like MIG welding wire, to unplug it.
    Good luck.
