Pure ethanol has about 70% of the BTU's of "pure" gasoline----------thus E10 has "only" 97% the BTU's of gasoline. Good luck in measuring that difference in real world driving.
By the way, pure ethanol has an octane rating of around 110 RON which is why it is often used as a race car fuel.
