That's wrong. Ethanol has 2/3 of the BTU's of gasoline.

Look again. Pure ethanol has 66.67% of the BTU's of base gasoline------or it takes 1.5 gallons of pure ethanol to provide the same BTU's of a gallon of pure gasoline.
Thus, a gallon of fuel that is 90% gasoline and 10% ethanol will have 96.67% of the BTU's of a gallon of pure gasoline.
