When I first bought mine I installed a 1000 watt inverter that I had already. Installed it 2 ft from the 2 6 v battery's and ran an extention cord to my shore power plug to the inverter to power the whole house. I dry camp 95% of the time. It would run the refer, TV, and MW( for a min or so). Having settled into a camping style and installing a 180 Amp alt to support the batteries, I now keep my refer on propane while driving and rarely watch TV. I end up using a small 180 watt plug in inverter for my lap top most of the time to watch DVD's in bed. I look for ways to run my generator for something rather than exercising it once a mo. I said all that to say this if you use FHU most of the time you would be better of spending your money on something else.
