My first MH was a 1996 Damon. I paid $16k for it in 2007. I just sold it this week and it served me well (most of the time) while I had it.
My new MH is a 2006 Damon that I paid $40k (11,000 miles on it)for last week. I hope it serves me well too.
There are plenty of MH's out there for $40k or under. Most are over 10 years old but if they are well maintained then it should not be a big deal. I do admit that you need to look longer and harder to find a nice one in that price range (more******out there than nice stuff) but it is possible.
I have a feeling there are more people out there with my budget then there are people out there looking to spend over $250k. I am 48 both kids have finished college and moved out recently but I have a real world budget. Spending $100k was not an option for us. I would like it if it were but its not.
