Thanks everyone! The advice is pretty evenly split between FLA and AZ.
I'm thinking it may be Yuma for my first year. I know some people who winter there and they rave about it. It'll be nice to have some friendly faces nearby. I've looked at El Centro, CA as well - looks like a nice place.
