My current tow vehicle has 8" clearance, so the typical B sounds pretty comparable.
I find that being familiar with my setup helps me break camp pretty quickly, and that would be true with any rig. What little stuff I leave out can be stowed away in little time. Hooking up is the biggest bother of all the tasks. Even rolling up the awning (on the rare occasion when I use it) is quicker and easier than hooking up. (Not that hookup is horrible or anything, but I'm making a comparison.)
If I were frequently staying in a given campsite for many days or even weeks, yes it would bug me a lot to have to break camp just to drive to a store or a scenic spot or trailhead. When I think back to my camping pattern, I see that I rarely stay anyplace long enough for that.
I can see that a B really does depend on personal preferences and isn't for everyone. I think a B would fit my camping style well at this point in my life.
I see that Sportsmobile offers an AC unit called Danhard. Costs way more than the usual roof AC. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the Danhard? Why would people buy it?
