Indoor Furniture

We bought a used 2010 Newmar Canyon Star toy hauler a few months ago. My wife and I would like to replace the sofa/hide-a-abed in the front slide with a sofa/recliner type arrangement.
Pretty hard to plunk down $1000+ for the furniture if you can't sit in it first. Have been to several RV stores in the area and no seems to have anything in the show room we can sit in.
Anyone install sofa/recliners? What brand did you get and are you satisfied?

Agree. They'll work fine and be much cheaper.
  • We replaced our couch with a leather Lazy Boy wall away love seat recliner. As mentioned before Lazy Boy recliners are built so the back can be removed to allow it to come in the entry door. Lag bolted it to the floor and love having a full size recliner.

  • We replaced our original coach with a new Flexsteel from Bradd & Hall.

They were extremely helpful. Ordered by phone from their overstocked section. They sent us fabric samples first to make sure it was the color we liked. Had it within a week. I ended up negotiating free shipping.

    Good Luck
  • Well we think we found what we're looking for. A Flexsteel Shannon couch with recliners in each end. We're going to take out the existing sofa bed and 2/3rds of the dinette. That is the forward bench and table. Install the sofa and a computer desk/cabinet.
  • When we went thru Elkhart Indiana last summer they had some clearance stores for RV manufactures and got a nice recliner to replace a worn out one for reasonable price. Just a thought.
  • Check out Lazy-Boy. I have a Lazy-Boy recliner in my motorhome. They come apart to fit through the door.
