Just an update, took a look at the rig and it was pretty much in need of repair to get it to my standards. The new tires were really six years old, other than the very shiny body I found corrosion everywhere, all interior woodwork would need to be sanded and revarnished, dirty carpet, AC running to probably cover up a pet order, leak in rear door seal, a fridge that says "clean me." This was all found within a few minutes, and I wasn't even working that hard.
The real killer was the DW saying it was way too small for our use. I'm now guessing that the best answer for us is a small 5'ver/truck combo.
FWIW, of all the different RV (types) forums I posted on in RV.Net, I got the best answers off of this one. I have a whole new respect for the class B's and those that own them.
