insurance trying to screw meeeeeee

what is the value of a 19979 26' Itasca class A. I would have thought that if it needs to be totally re skinned etc. they would just total it out and give you a few $$$.

The insurance company will not repair your vehicle to a better state than it was in before the accident. If there is previous damage they will not fix it even though it might have been damaged in the accident. Case in point - a bumper that has existing damage to driver's side and then is involved in an accident that damages the rest of the bumper. They will deduct the percentage of the cost for the previous damage and pay only the difference. You say it's totaled but they obviously disagree. This is the sticking point. As a side note, should they finally agree that it's totaled then you should not have to pay the deductible.

In a previous post didn't you say that you only had liability insurance on your MH, no collision? Why would you expect them to fix it?

So they are offering to pay less than what the estimates (at least 2) indicate? Is that in the policy?

What was YOUR ins. company adjusters report/evaluation/estimate?

What does police accident report state? Fault/extent of damage etc.

What is repair facility report/estimate of repairs?

Don't just sit there and complain.............get proactive.

Just say no and don't sign off. Make a demand in writing as to what you want. If they won't want to give you what is fair then you'll have to go hire a lawyer to go after them.
