insurance trying to screw meeeeeee

It all happened just before a 3 day weekend. I panicked. The frame damage is in
The body cage. Weather I keep it or not depends on what they pay me.
I'm not asking for an arm and leg. But I would prefer something
That is cleaner inside. The outside is pretty decent for a 37 y.o vehicle.

from past experience i can tell you that the oregon insurance commission frown's on insurance claims not settled in a very timely manner.

Get in touch with the State Attorney General's Office of Consumer Affairs
Insurance Division and the State Insurance Commissioner.

From Personal Experience I will tell you that Insurance Companies hate for them to become interested in any case.

Insurance companies will try to pay the least they can.
I know, because I once setup claims for one of the largest in the country.
I had to quit once I saw how customers were treated.

The present overall condition will weigh on what they want to do
(pre-accident condition). They will look at the age and they do not care about anything being a classic. Normal insurance companies will have a cut off for coverage, as you have already mentioned. Many others will "insure" you and not tell you they will only pay out max NADA for that year. Then there are the real classics insurers that understand classics and you will pay the price for real insurance.

It is all a game on who they can get and save money.
Like I said they hate for the State to look at them.

Is $1,000. The outside skin would have to be replaced that's 26'x9.
The rear wall would also have to be re skinned. That's a whole lotto work.
That's many $1,000.s the sheet metal is kinked, therefore cannot be straightened
This thing is worth 2,500 at the most.

Knee jerk reactions aside, I wasn't speaking about those that are truly helpful. :) As I quoted one that said we should report him for insurance fraud, and the tone of a few others that seem to take offense to his not answering their questions. My point isn't that asking questions is inconsiderate, it's that acting like he's required to answer them is just silly.

And you can be bored and looking for opinions all at the same time. :) One person comments how he hasn't done anything people have suggested and just bellyaches. And it's okay if he doesn't, it's okay if he bellyaches. It's like someone told me once. When a person comes to you with a problem, they aren't always looking for you to fix it. Sometimes they just want the opportunity to vent and maybe hear your thoughts. And that's okay.

Also stated that Salem Body Shop was coming out to do an estimate, Also stated that that had happened.

So logically one would ask. What did that estimate show concerning repairs/cost? My question was legit....regardless of some perceived tone via the internet.

OP has what looks like minor damage from a fender bender accident in a parking lot....based on ALL pictures posted. But is talking about 'totaled' and bandaid fixes.

Without real information post is bit suspicious.

I did take people's advice. I went so far as to file an uninsured motorist claim
with them. Trucking co insurance was on the phone with me in an hour.
But it's what happened after that th a had me upset. Adjuster was supposed to look at it Friday. I did not see him till Tuesday. But, I was doing alot of venting that's the right God gave all of us. If in my situation anyone would.
It's part of the healing process. Thanks for the feedback.

WHAT was the body shop estimate.....you even stated Salem Body Shop was COMING out. Didn't even have to take it to them.

Other then scrape on rear middle and broken bumper.....what other damage?
Pictures DON'T show a 'wrecked' RV.............minor damage yes.
