Insurance

I am asking this to be sure that I have the right insurance, I have a Class A.

I heard that Motor Home Insurance is different than regular auto insurance and you should buy it from someone who understands this.

I am looking at Progressive and Blue Sky, does anyone have other insurance that have used good or bad.

I am also finding the "RV" insurance is expensive.

That quote is extremely high. We have National Interstate through Miller Insurance 503-636-6347. For our 2004 40' MH it's $1300/year.

Insurance can't be compared by person to person. It all depends on what insurance you want, your age, driving record, where you live, etc. You just have to call around to get the best quote for you. We get new quotes every two years and have no hesitation going with another company if it's cheaper. Good luck!
  • We went with Progressive because of their 100% replacement policy for the first four years. If we were to total it they will replace it with the same new coach. We went with Progressive because we also carry an umbrella policy through our other insurance company and they required that we do business with a A+ rated company which Progressive is. There are several good ones out there.

  • Although I totally dislike Progressive and their owners political beliefs, they have provided the best RV rates of any company I have contacted.... They are about 1/2 of Good Sam or FMCA, and have been excellent when I had a claim........
  • I have Geico, previously had state Farm.
    Also have coachnet.

    Define expensive?
At roughly $1600/year, as compared to our other vehicles, it is not expensive.
