As others have said, shop around, insurance quotes for the exact same coverage can vary tremendously between companies.

The reason for this variance has very little to do with you in particular, it's a strategy that insurance companies do to diversify their portfolios. Too many customers in one area exposing them a large number of claims from a single event (hail storm, tornado, etc)? They raise rates intentionally causing customers to leave for other carriers, in theory retaining the most profitable ones in the process.

Then miles driven , some insurance companies require you to drive by for the them to visually check mileage on the OD (state farm, farmers, AAA for example), others take your word and each year you get a little mailer /questioner asking for mileage and if you told told them upfront your only going to drive it say 5,000 miles a year and you drove it 6,000 miles you'll get hit by a higher premium.
If you don't mail that questioner in they jack your premium up to a higher level, then when you mail in the paperwork and if your within miles your premium will get adjusted accordingly. That actually happened to me a couple years ago!

Some play the game of under quoting the miles they drive, you better keep copies of any paperwork so you can continue to play the game.
The insurance is always like crooks , "one step ahead of the game" , tied in with DMV , get a ticket they find out your mileage , get a smog check they find out your mileage, fender bender they get your mileage...


Insurance companies are always bean counters and get you no matter what !
You live in the city so higher chance of being involved in an accident , rates are higher, ok I live out in the boonies , higher rates because more chance of non-insured motorists on the road out in the boonies. !!

We just bought a 2005 FourWinds , park it at the house behind a closed gate and have multi vehicle ,house etc with them $257.75 a year...

We had a similar problem - insurance companies didnt know what we had.
we use Blue Sky RV Insurance and pay about 20% of what your talking about.

there is not much difference for C and Super C as had both. Less than $500 for either model.

Something seems strange for sure. Just another comparison here for the sake of it. I have a Majestic (Thor) 23a from 2007. Said I would use it about once a month up to 5000 miles a year, it has 125,000 miles on it. Replacement value of 25k. Parked at a storage facility just outside of Los Angeles. Progressive who I have my car and home owners with. Limits maxxed out to the highest because we have a lot of under insured motorists here etc...

I pay $350 a year.

We had Progressive on a car that we left in Florida.
What I liked about them was that twice a year you reporter, by e-mail, the odometer reading, and they based your rate on how many miles you drove.
