insurance

wanting to buy an older 24ft class c motorhome. trying to get a ball park figure on how much insurance will cost, before I buy one. can anyone give me an idea? I just want enough insurance to get it legal, as it's going to be in the late 80s early 90s. when I try to get a quote everyone wants a vin number, but I'm just looking havn't bought one yet.we live in central fla. thank's for any info. Eileen and bob. thank's for everyones input. just wanted to get a rough idea, before we jump into rving. and yes we checked with our insurance co.which we have house and two vehicles, and zero accidents, but they won't give ball park figure without vin number.thank's again, Eileen and bob.

  • A lot also depends on your own insurance history. Have you asked this question of your usual broker?
  • Without a Vin number no one will give you an exact price, only ball park. Find a unit you are interested in and get a quote from several insurance companies before signing if it is a concern. I just saved over $500 a year by changing insurance companies on my 35ft MH
  • Too many variables before anyone can provide you with a number. My first motorhome cost me $56 every 6 months. My current unit costs me $488 a year. Both had liability at 100k/300k, first had no comp or collision, the current rv has both, but with a 2.5k deductible. Both were covered by the same insurance company, with multiple auto discount, over 55 discount, accident free discount, and home owners insurance.

Would be a little like asking about car insurance premiums without having more information.
