Intellitec Load Shedding problem
Thought I'd post my recent experience with what I thought was a malfunctioning Intellitec climate control unit or flaky generator. I found that when I tried to run my A/Cs on the generator, the Intellitec kept 'shedding' one of the A/Cs. All was well on 'shore power'. What I eventually discovered was that my house batteries were about done and they were causing enough of a draw through the charger that it would cause the Intellitec to shed an A/C. Why this didn't happen on shore power is still a mystery to me since as I understand the wiring, the Intellitec senses the same current flow on either supply. It took a while before I realized that 'hidden' current draw was there. If you have a problem like that, check your house batteries! I have a 2004 Fleetwood Flair with an Onan Gold 5500.
