Interstate or Duralast Batteries

I have to replace my coach batteries.

Presently, I have two Interstate 31-MHD CCA 950 batteries installed.
Where I am located, it would be convenient to replace the two Interstates with two Duralast 31-950's. The outside dimensions of both types are comparable.

I have used Interstates for a long time, so I know the performance record of them.

I am looking for personal opinion comments regarding the Duralasts.

Thanks

  • It's a coin toss, I had an Interstate Battery last for 3 years. It was amazing
for three years and then just dropped dead.

I'm at 11 years on by two Interstate engine batteries. Guess what I'll replace them with when I have to start using the boost switch to start the engine. At five years I found the caps under the hard plastic top and every other year I add a little bit of water.
  • Just replaced mine. I replaced with CAT batteries. Looked at the rest but found for me/IMHO the CAT battery was the best. Price was also lower than the Interstate 31. Check out your local CAT dealer.

  • I have two Duralast Gold for my starting batteries, at age (2) years, one failed and was replaced free exchange under (3) yr free replacement policy
I have been happy with their performance in our dp
  • Interstate batteries are hard to beat for quality but the Duralast are probably cheeper. If it were me I'd go with the tried and true Interstates.
