I too wonder what it is doing wrong (You said it does not charge properly)
I have two converters here,, One (Primary) is an progressive Dynamics Intella-power 9180 wit charge wizard, other than the last 2 digits, which are determined by the wire size and the size o the battery bank,, There is none better that I have been able to find.
The other, is a Xantrex Prosine 2.0 inverter (this is the back up converter), and again. a better one would be hard to find (But for different reasons) I like the Wizard a bit better so that is why it is my primary, but in truth, I'd rate them equal.. Why do I need a backup.. When on Generator I use both, and if I accidently unplug the 9180.. Well it is usually around 3am when I figure it out and if you think I'm getting dressed, going out and plugging it back in at 3 am.. Think again.
Magnum is a very good line,, Go with a True Sine Wave inverter/converter please. They simply work better.
