Scott,
A very common "battery combiner" that charges the chassis batteries from the house bank when the house bank is up to charge:

So, the inverter/charger charges the house bank. When house bank up to float voltage, the Echo Charger connects the chassis battery.
Brett,
Thanks for explaining things to me. So, are you saying that the inverter/charger IS doing the charging THROUGH the battery combiner or, is the combiner allowed to be "charger" when IT detects the house batteries are fully charged?

Blake,
Thanks for getting back to me on this. As stated, I like to learn about this stuff, even though I don't plan on becoming a service tech any time soon. One more question if you please. How exactly do you know for sure? Do you see wiring directly from the Magnum to the chassis batteries or, are your chassis batteries connected to that Magnum via some sort of solenoid/combiner etc.? The reason I ask is because I did the install of the Magnum in our rig and followed the wiring explicitly which, basically mirrored the wiring on my Dimensions 2000 Watt inverter/Charger.
And neither one, have any wiring that goes even close the chassis batteries. But, you may have a newer model of the Magnum than I do and, it may be setup completely different. Thanks again.
