Isn't the TV presently powered thru the inverter? Ours is wired that way.
When motorhomes are built, the TV is normally wired so it can't be operated while the engine is running. That's to avoid being cited for having the TV within the view of the driver. Of course, if the TV is behind the driver or in the bedroom, that isn't an issue.
