Many state simply state that it can not be operated within the state boundaries for some period of time...90 to 180 days or so. There may also be a provision that it can not be in the state for some period of time.
You have to know the state laws to make an informed opinion. If you comply with all the provisions you fine...go ahead an get the LLC and save your $$$. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. This is not cheating, illegal, or anything else just wise financial planning.
