I have homes in 3 states and have vehicles registered in each.....for now MD has no personal property tax, no yearly inspection, no emissions tests. All my expensive stuff is registered there. I have my drivers license there, vote there, and maintain a home there.....Why would I transfer everything to another state and pay all the tax and fees to do so then pay personal property tax, state inspection, and emissions inspection forever???? But I don't spend much time there either. Anyone that pays more taxes than they have to is just giving their money away to the govt.....for what?, the next toll road.
