Is 300HP Enough

I had a 97 38 foot gulfstream with 325 ISC. when loaded with goods and pulling Chev blazer it was underpowered on any mountain hill.It pulled ok on flats+ it was acceptable.I dont think I would be happy with 300HP in a big motorhome trying to pull 8K plus full MH especially if its the ISB cummins
Seriously look for the 350ISC or 330 cat as minimum
