I would shy away from the Cat C7..........3126...I have sent out many for warranty issues while involved with a fleet..I think we had about 6 of them and they all went out for repairs at one time or another..on the other hand we had 50 garbage trucks with Cummins ISC's and they were bulletproof. They all had Allison automatics behind them, were driven 5 days weekly, making 200 to 250 stops per day..full throttle from one driveway to the next..shifting gears 1..2..3..then slam the brakes on..driver jumps out..throws the trash in and then full throttle to the next stop. These Cummins would rack up over 10,000 hours in 6 years before they were replaced. The Allison transmissions were also bulletproof. I would highly recommend a Cummins ISC or the earlier C which is the same engine only without a computer, and an Allison MD3060. The reason I have a Spartan chassis is because they used alot of Cummins, and the Freightliners used alot of Cats.
