Is 330 HP enough for a 37-40' DP
Seeing a lot of early mid 2000 DP in the 37-40' range with 300-330 HP Cats or Cummings. Is this enough HP? The torque seems to be about 1000 lb/ ft on either. Is this enought? We plan to tow a Jee...

obgraham and others talk about the sweet spot for a DP. We have a 39'Gulfstream with a CAT 330HP and can't seem to find that spot.
I search threads trying to find a post to no avail.
We are looking at going out west when we retire but I can't even get up I26 in South Carolina without running hot? The motor only has about 10K on it and the radiator was cleaned when the new motor was put in. Any help for a DP newbie
