We use our lot 6 -8 months a year. Costs us $3300 for the entire year. Includes cable, sewer, landscaping, trash pick up, pool, exercise room etc.
Cost was 55k. If we rented here the rent runs $1450 a month in season and $960 out season.
No brainer, yes a good deal. Also given real estate was at a low when we bought it we are likely to see some gains on the value. These lots used to sell for 120k 5 years ago. So likely to see them go up to 80k over 10 years.
Not all lots are good deals. Some places the HOA fees kill you and you get nothing.
