Is GM missing the Boat

Currently, the Mercedes Sprinter chassis dominates the small class C market because it is the only diesel chassis available. Recently, GM has introduced a 2.8 turbo diesel in its Colorado truck. If GM, offered this on a cab chassis, I believe they could corner the market in the small class C market and take it away from Mercedes at a lower cost to the consumer. Does anyone think GM will do this.

  • probably not if there is any work involved. GM (government motors) is looking for hand outs.

No, I don't think they will. The market for RV's is minuscule compared to their world sales.
  • It is we evident that GM settled its interest in the RV market in 1978. Now as Government Motors, they are interested only in those things that those now in charge think that they should build.
