Is it just me...probably!

I've checked RV.NET each morning for a number of years. In the early years, I poured over each and every post with unbridled interest. And as a result, I learned much. I even initiated a few posts here and there when I needed answers to perplexing RV problems. Without fail, I always received replies that generally set me straight on whatever jam I'd gotten myself into (thanks to all!). BUT...over the past year or two I find myself, although still checking the site daily, beginning to look at fewer posts and rarely pulling up the details. WHY? Have I already seen it all? Am I now just a pompous 'know-it-all'...be nice now? Am I just getting too old to be bothered (yea, I am old)? Last question...are there others who, like me, started out as avid readers of all on this site and, as years passed, seen their interest taper?

  • I try to read the new posts daily. Some for the information imparted, some to help others and some just for entertainment value.
  • When I first bought mine I needed to know and understand "everything" some mornings i went back page after page to read the posts. Now I certainly dont know every thing but I have an understanding that I can repair most anything "with all the help" from rv forums..I think i got to a comfort level and feel better now that I know that the systems really dont fail that often..and if they do their are nice folks here to bail my out.
  • I find my viewing is in direct relation of my camping. When I am camping and need technical advice - I get my information here. People are quick to respond and when an issue is resolved I thank everyone and give th esolution that worked. When I am not camping I enjoy the human interest stories. When an issue arises, my husband says go ask your "old men". So I need you to stay interested and engaged in the site to share all your wisdom.

Having been on here since 2004 and rarely shy about voicing my opinion... even at 5:30 AM. Hopefully it's more fact than opinion and I spend more time on here now than in the past. Granted I have more time now than in 2004 as I'm semi retired and in recent years I have 1200 +/- posts/year. The DW calls RV.net my porn site (and only one) as I often spend an hour a day on here.

*It would help when asking for help if people would give more info on what they have... like filling in the signature portion of their profile. Sometimes I can find it in one of their previous posts plus those posts (if any) help in how detailed an answer to give.
Another grip is first time posters that never come back or those that do not post the solution to a problem. No, I'm not happy about being up this early.

As Robin William would say... GOOD MORNING RV.NET!
