While it may be over kill, it's a good known. What problems are you getting when you go to something else?
Why are you spending the winters in MO? Start snowbirding if lack of using it bothers you.
I've been to the Tetons/Yellowstone 5-6 times and hope to go several more times and we are much the same age and NO I do not plan on downsizing. I hope to be still using this MH 100+ days/year for another ten years.
There is no reason to change the oil once a year with only 1000 miles on it. If you do not increase the use I would change every 3-4 years. I would find a way to use it more. Good Luck
