My travel is getting less as I get older also, my thoughts are a small gas Class A that has large FW tanks, basement storage,at least 2 6v GC batteries and a small tow car to drive to fishing spots. I camp a lot at state parks without hook-ups right on a river(fly fishing only catch and release} but drive to more secluded spots along dirt roads to fish during the day. Coming from a DP with large tanks etc to a C, B, or tow-able would limit you stay due to FW. Going from Class A DP to a shorter Gas A would be less of a transition.
