I just picked up an order from Walmart. It was some basic items that we needed and I was able to order everything online. I got an email telling me that my items were ready to pick up. I let him sign the acceptance and I am on my way. Total time at Walmart was about 10 minutes and I was never within 6 feet of anyone. By the time I got back home, my receipt for my order and delivery was sent to me by email. Very efficient operation and Walmart is trying to hire more people to handle this part of their business..
While I was doing this I couldn't help but notice that the Walmart parking lot was full. I don't know how many people they were allowing in the store but there is no way that you could be inside that store and maintain a 6 foot buffer. On the news tonight they show what looked like a 50 yard long line of people waiting to get into the local Sam's Club. Don't know how many were small business owners or just private customers. Apparently Sam's Club was adhering to the 50% capacity order as Walmart probably was as well. These are tough times and it really depends on all of us to get past this initial virus hump. Since more tests are being done now, MORE positive test will be showing up in all areas. The best you can do is remain socially distant for a few weeks and let things level off. The sooner that will happen the sooner businesses can get back to somewhat normal operation.
My Son has a 5th Wheel and he is restricted to working from home. he lets his wife and the dogs stay in the house and do their normal activities. He gets up at his normal time, showers and dresses, and goes to work outside in the 5th wheel. He has power, WIFI, and phone, as well as peace and quiet. His commute time has cut back from 45 minutes to 30 seconds. Most RV'rs are resourceful and can figure out a way to safely adapt to these trying times. Stay safe.
