Don't let everyone scare you away from this motor home.
Last year I bought a 13 year old motor home that had less than 21,000 miles on it. A diesel pusher.
After taking care of a few maintenance items - filters, etc. we took it on a 500 mile "shake down" trip.
We experienced an issue with it coming home the last 90 miles of the trip. It died 3 times but would crank back up each time. Took us almost 3 hours to make that last 90 miles.
After considerable analysis (I am mechanically minded and have rebuilt engines, etc. over the years), I found a stopped up inline fuel strainer caused the issues.
We just completed a 4,710 mile trip in the motor home two weeks ago. The motor home now has almost 29,000 miles on it.
If a competent mechanically minded person can analyze the cause of the engine dying, and all other systems are a "go", it may be what will fit your limited budget.
