My tow haul works well. Did some mountains and city driving and it was great. I have a 26,000 lb Moho. Replace DP. Of course not. It is a big improvement and works for me but it is not a DP. I am ok with that. If you want the benefits of a DP get a DP. The gas no matter how good will not please.
