If you own a Garmin there is a FREE program from Garmin you install on a computer it can be a PC or MAC. You can create routes on the computer and send them to your Garmin unit. The program is BaseCamp. I have been using it for my trips and it has been great. Also once the route has been created you can view it in Google Earth from a drop down in BaseCamp.
