Is this a proper way to hang my flag for the 4th of July?

At our HS the Colors are raised, lowered, and secured by our ROTC detachment. They also present at our games. I've known a lot of them since cub scout days.

Yes, b ut I will say this, I saw a camper with a mat to wipe your feet on with a US flag on It, did not like it at all, The flag is not to be used to wipe feet on. I Have friends who gave life for it. I went back to put a note on their RV or to say something but they were gone. In schools I've seen people take down the flag at the end of school and roll it I a ball, It would be nice if different kids could help and "learn" to fold the flag the right way.
