Just trying to save you some money...When the Cummins facility replaced my gaskets, they checked the manifold tolerances and any possible cracks. It wasn't warped or cracked, so they recommended just replacing the gaskets because I have almost 50,000 miles on the coach, and they figure that if it was going to crack or warp, it would probably have done so by now. A new manifold would have been an additional $500, and could be sent overnight to anywhere from the Cummins distribution center in Portland, OR(they did have it in stock)if I would have needed it.
Also, I sprayed the bolts with PB Blaster everyday for a week before taking it in for repair and 6 bolts still ended up breaking off. The repair facility wasn't concerned about that as they have replaced hundreds of them. Hope this info helps...Don
