Another question I have is about maintenance. Where do you get them fixed? I ask because I read somewhere that Winnebago Rialta owners were having problems getting work done on their units---the Volkswagen dealers said their lifts weren't strong enough to handle that level of weight. So here you have a motorhome based on VW but VW doesn't want to work on it?
Do you get oil changes at Jiffy Lube or do you need someone more upscale? Would Midas be qualified to put on a new exhaust? What about things like the onboard generator? Can you have Wal Mart put on a new set of tires for you? A lot of the units we've seen on line are early 2000s; when something breaks inside, like a cupboard latch, do you end up rigging your own solution because those parts aren't available any more? Any tales of "I can't believe it cost that much!" to share?
