Itasca Ellipse

Does anyone have pros & cons on the Vac system with the toilet plumbing. I am looking at a Itasca Ellipse model there are other manufacturers that have had these toilet system for years. Any information would be appreciated. Things I am looking for, is does the toilet paper and solids goes through the system with no problems. Or what is the answer if the system would plug up?
  • We had one for almost a year . The toilets are one thing we had no problems with, they use alot of water but work well
  • If this is refering to macerator type toilet I think it's great. So far it's worked great and dumping tank is much easier as all solids are basically ground up. Most black water waste is liquid if you get my drift.
  • The toilets work great and will flush down your arm if you put it in there, but they use a lot of water compared to a standard drop straight down into the tank toilet. They need the extra water to push the waste to the tank.

I am not told the unit has a Macerator installed. Just a vac flush, when mother nature say`s too much is too much how does a person clean the piping out?
