Be sure your pets have tags with your cell phone numbers in case one of them makes a getaway (on a break-away collar for the cat). And I don't put the pets' names on tags.
It would help if we knew your objectives in relocating -- get warm, lower cost of living in retirement, get closer to family in certain area, etc. It's a big country!
