When on one on postion the jake is activated by the brake pedal. If I put the brakes on in an emergency situation at freeway speed I want all the stopping I have. In this postion it doesn't fight the cruise control. In the other on postion it is activated by foot off the accelerator. I use this mode when descending steep grades. If I used the brake activated mode descending I would have to keep the brakes applied to keep the jake on and I don't like that. The off position is only used in towns that prohibit jakes.
This mod costs less than fifty bucks and takes less than an hour. I can provide the schematic if you PM me.
