Jaycee Greyhawk 31FS bunks, bathroom door

Been looking at Jayco floor plans. We like the the 29W but the 31 FS with bunks is great too. We have one problem with bathroom door when slides are closed. It bumps the bunks floor step which hinders the passage way into bathroom. Anyone have a problem with that. It seems like if they made the door a bit higher on bottom it would be cutout to go over it. But they didn't. Anybody have a fix for that. Nice floor plan with bunks but its just bad engineering design I think. Any ideas?
  • We have the 2017 31 FS and yes, you are correct, the door hits the bottom bunk area, but I am a pretty big buy at 225lbs and I can get into the bathroom without issue. It's more of an annoyance more than anything to be honest. It was not a deal breaker for us though and love the model so far.
  • I have the 2015 Jayco 31FS. We squeeze a bit through the door when that rear slider is closed. We got this MH for the layout, because it was a Ford, and the standard items that came with it was optional on other manufacturers units. Oh I think I will continue to squeeze through that bathroom door. After all, it's just camping!!!!!
  • They are nice and well equipped. Great product. My wife loves the bunks for grandkids and adults too but I look for a more open spacious floor plan when its closed. I guess thats why I am drawn too the 29 W. Great store underneath in the 29W. You can haul like 10 big suit cases and more under the bed. I guess its how we all tend to use them. They are all so nice.
  • Been looking at the Jayco Greyhawk 31FS with bunks, very nice, We just came back from rv show and compared it to the Forest River Sunseeker 3170DS. There are are like 10 more better user friendly options in the Sunseeker which make it better over the Jayco. Example: swivel seat, built in stereo in coach. recline sofa and sleeper. Better under coach storage. More kitchen room, bunk better seating options, outdoor tv , etc. Even a bit lower price. Just wandering how sun seeker can pack this all in where jayco could have added it. Jayco feels and looks more quality though. Plus enclosed gray and black water. Crazy

I think that is your answer. Jayco builds a better coach, plus they include a 2 year warranty.
