Was wondering is there any difference in ride in a class c grayhawk with the j ride versus other class c made by others with the ford e series chassis.

As RV owners, we should be very glad that
    SOMEBODY FINALLY DID SOMETHING!!!
I don't know what Jayco pays for those parts, but they're readily available, and VERY easy to install before the House is in place, before Bolts get rusty, etc. etc. SO much better than leaving us with a poor handling rig that we have to figure out on our own. And in may cases pay outlandish prices to get it corrected.
    Hopefully others will follow.
    NOW for Custom Valve Stems...
  • DITTO with NC . We have the same 32' vehicle and I love it. We passed over Winnebagos in favor of the Jayco for all the same reasons.
  • Have made three trips so far with our new 2014 Greyhawk 31FK. After viewing and researching motorhomes over the summer, we had narrowed our short list to a Redhawk or a Greyhawk. I told my wife that there were four things on my must-have list: Bigfoot levelers, the combination A/C-heat pump, a backup camera and JRide.

JRide being factory installed meant I did not have to add various suspension upgrades piecemeal. I think it really does make a difference. My wife was initially very cautious about driving it. However, our last trip was through the Blue Ridge Mountains and she felt confident enough to drive on some of the twisty secondary roads up there.

I understand JRide is standard on the 2015 Greyhawks. I am very happy that option is on our 2014.
  • It would be interesting to know the +caster settings vs handling performance opinions on any Ford E350 or E450.
  • I did not drive any other class c, as I just liked the workmanship and floor plan (large bathroom) of the 31ds, but I will say that I have no handling or sway problems as I read others do. Even drove 150 miles in a 40 mph crosswind, and while you could tell you were driving a large tall vehicle, I thought it did fine.

I am totally satisfied with the handling and plan to do nothing to change it.
  • I test drove Precept 31 with J ride did not notice any real difference from my 08 34' Fleetwood Fiesta
  • Have not driven the others as the wife just had to have the 31FS due to it's layout. I have the 2015 and have had it now over the mountain passes in Colorado, backcountry of Kentucky, and now in central Florida. Do enjoy the drive and ride. Plenty of power with the V10 and I even have the wife driving it with no complaints. I have been satisfied with the ride and quality of workmanship. Good luck.
