I don't understand the noise issue with front engine diesels ? Ours is quite running down the road . We have a C-7 Cat 350 HP runs great. I like being able to check my oil with ease and look at the whole motor for any issues such as leaks . I also like the safety issues some have brought up. If you do need to get your motor worked on it's a lot cheaper to work on a front end diesel than a rear end diesel. I like keeping the mechanic outside the motorhome not on the inside removing the bed and getting everything dirty.
