Just received a Ford recall notice for rigs cruise control

The weird thing about this is my rig is 21 years old! The recall notice says the cruise control switch can catch fire whether I use it or not. Do I assume after 21 years this part is fine? Or do I tak...

Looks like the earliest models effected by this switch begin in 1991 so I believe this would not effect an 87 model E350.
