Larry, I too am 75, will be 76 next month and we upgraded from our 1990 Bounder 27D to a Winnie Adventurer 32V in February. I have developed several little age related hitches in my get along, none of them have really hampered my RVing. But, like many, I have slowed down. An example, I have a Submarine reunion in September that I want to attend, it is across the country and Id have to drive 400 miles a day to get there due to obligations here at home. Five years ago I would have told the DW that she needed to plan on taking the RV instead of flying. Today looking at several days of 400 miles a day, can't do it.
I did have buyers remorse for a few days after buying the Winnie, spending that kind of money for probably five years of use. Was it sound? I don't know but after a few more days I know it was a good idea. Five more years of traveling around this country is invaluable. Maybe my DGKs will enjoy it for awhile after I quit driving, heck they might even take me and the DW along.
Just my feelings, I have faced the facts and it might be shorter but maybe longer.
