Keep loaded or UNLOAD

I am just wondering.......is it best for springs, shocks and general overall 'health' of coach to unload the storage bays totally-to reduce weight constantly being enforced? I have always left mine in a "ready to roll" mode, but mind wanders sometimes...
  • It won't hurt the springs to keep it loaded, just like the magazine springs on a firearm aren't damaged by leaving them full.
  • Oh wow...no way I would unload everything between trips. Loading/unloading car was a royal pain when tent camping!
  • Look at it this way, if leaving it loaded all of the time hurt things, how would you full time in it? The only thing we unload is the refer and the black / gray tanks.........

  • Maybe I am wrong, but if you have that much weight in the storage area that it would affect the springs, you probably have way to much stuff and are overloaded.
I keep whatever in the storage area at all times.
  • We always leave ours in loaded, ready to go condition. I figure, if you want to relieve a little weight put down the levelers. We see a lot of that at our storage location.
