Talked with Art at Essex about the issue. Originally thought about replacing it with the AKE5, but seems as though maybe the newer AKE model might be alittle bit smaller actually. His measurements are that it is about 5 inches long, while the one on the 06 Moutain Aire that I have is over 6 inches.
So when I remove the old and put on the new, quite likely would have a spot showing where the old one was. So I went ahead and ordered the 1701 so that it will cover up where the old one sat on the side of the moho.
Should be here beginning of the week, will probably wait till we get over to the Dallas area next week before I install it. Sounds like a monkey can do it, so I will probably have problems with it!!hahaha Will post the progress if I have internet over there.
