KVH Sat dish won't connect w/Direct TV Reciever

I'm not exactly sure about what specifically you're trouble-shooting, so I may be way off the mark. With that said, I had umpteen house satellite techs look at why I couldn't get direct tv with my kvh. I was finally near an RV shop that was able to look at it. Apparently, at least with mine, the dish was set for receiving dish network. It was just a matter of switching the dish to receive direct tv. I wish I could tell you specifically how the tech did it, but I wasn't paying attention when I should have been. I know that it was just a matter of holding one button on the front for x amount of seconds, or holding both buttons or some such thing. Anyway, if that is your problem, an RV tech can fix it in about 2 seconds. Of course, they'll probably charge you the minimum half-hour or hour labor rate to do it. Sorry, I can't tell you how to do it yourself in order to save you some money.
