KwiKee Electric Steps
I have a 2004 Allegro with KwiKee steps that will not retract with the step sw. , the door closing or the ignition bypass, has anyone else had this problem ?

As mentioned, most folks vote for a bad controller. But before spending the $$$, try tapping the motor with a (small) hammer while its trying to close. If it operates, then the motor is bad. Also check for a bad ground on the controller, they are known for causing issues. And as noted, keep hands and arms clear!
This is what happened to me. Take old motor to NAPA and they will have replacement motor. Mine is from a pre 92 Ford right side door window.
