KWIKEE Step Problem

Rich, since nobody else has replied, I will try to help. Try assisting the steps going in with your foot. Be carful here as the steps are no joke, and can trap your foot if placed in the wrong place. If after a couple times of assisting the steps, they retract, leave them out and use either carb cleaner, or brake cleaner to clean all of the joints and the actuating arm under the steps. Run the steps in and out several times while cleaning. After all are clean and working sat, lube all joints with motorcycle chain lube, as this will penetrate and then set-up, to lube the joints.
