I'm with Doug on this. Yes the pump motor failed. Does that mean I should never buy and RV with the Lippert system? The OP goes through a lot of jargon explaining how qualified and capable he is to fix system, but in the end he was unable to diagnose and find the problem.
It appears once the rig was taken to the shop the problem was resolved.
Sourcing the parts and warranty issues are a other subject really unrelated to LCI.
Maybe the title should be
"Being proactive is a good idea but sometimes you need to rely on the dealer" or " Despite all my credentials I was not as capable as a experienced RV tech when it came to fixing my LCI pump!"
A lot of finger pointing but in the end seems to be a lot ranting about nothing but a bad pump. It happens pumps fail.
For the record my Lippert system is working fine.
The pump didn't fail. The $780 motor that drives the pump supposedly has failed. Still don't know if it's the cause of the problem as the new motor hasn't been installed yet.
As for LCI products... Again I ask folks to research this RV Forum and others. You'll be amazed at how many complaints there are concerning LCI Lippert products. They're JUNK.
BTW, I didn't say I was qualified to 'fix' the system, I only explained why I attempted to do so. Because of all the electronic involved with the controller, I felt it best to let the dealer deal with it. IF I had a complete shop manual with complete wiring diagrams on the system, I would already have it repaired.
